Q: Do I need to have any previous experience to take one of your courses?

A: Here are the pre-requisites we require you to have to take one or more of our programs:

It is preferred that you have an existing recognised therapist or fitness qualification with evidence that physiology, anatomy and general safety have been covered.

The qualification can be in the form of the following:

  • Yoga Qualification - British Wheel, BSY, Learn Direct etc.
  • Complementary Health qualification.
  • Exercise to Music, RSA, OCR or equivalent.
  • YMCA - Gym Instructor, level 2 or above (qualification + experience).
  • Premier International Diploma.
  • Focus Training Certificate.
  • Nurse.
  • Doctor.
  • Health & Social Care.

Plus, therapists and beauticians that hold a recognised certificate for their field will be accepted (i.e Aromatherapy, Reiki etc) as they have had to cover a lot of ground on anatomy and physiology.

A valid first-aid certificate

Some experience working in a class format is preferred but not essential

Instructors should have an acceptable level of communication skills to be able to teach the program in a safe and fun manner.

T'ai Chi, Yoga or Energy Work Experience not essential (although can be beneficial) as we've made every program easy to learn. Our comprehensive instructor training manual guides you through the program step-by-step, so long after you've taken the training it's a complete reference handbook for you as you grow and develop into a professional and successful instructor.

For your own understanding and in-line with insurance policies you are required to have a basic understanding of Anatomy & Physiology. Most Therapy, Fitness and Complementary Health qualifications cover Anatomy & Physiology in-depth and are more than adequate for the teaching of our programs. If you're not sure check the list above or contact us.

Q: Can I really learn a program in such a short time?

A: Absolutely, Fox Fitness has revolutionised the learning of ancient practices through their programs. That means they have done all the hard work for you in creating a format that allows you to learn and appreciate the ancient practices but more importantly can teach it to others easily and effectively.

So you're not actually learning the traditions but a specific and structured program based around them, making it possible to learn, benefit and teach in a shorter period.

You are also expected to continue your learning and development of the program in your own time once you have completed the course as progress is a process and perfection comes with time and practice.

This is a perfect format for all those professionals who have wanted to teach a program but felt put off by the lengthy courses, commitment and investment.

Fox Fitness has been leading the way with this type of training, which is all down to their unique 3-Phase Training system, which helps to maximise your learning experience. It consists of:

  1. Pre-Course Learning: You'll receive DVDs, Audio and a comprehensive manual to work through.
  2. Attend Live Training: Experience & take part in the program with expert tuition - includes practical assessment.
  3. Post Course Support Modules: 4 weeks of information emailed to you to give you a better understanding and to enable proper integration of the program. Includes written assesment details.

Q: Do you supply music with the courses?

A: We can recommend the best choices for the courses that predominantly use music.

Q: Payment methods?

A: You can choose from a range of payment methods to suit you:

  • Paypal - secure on-line payment system.
  • BACs - pay direct into our bank account - contact us for full details.

Q: Can you provide Insurance?

A: We can recommend a reputable Insurance company for Holistic professionals. This is for UK only, you should check with your country of residence about insurance requirements.

Q: Are Courses with you recognised?

A: Fox Fitness has trained thousands of instructors from all over the world. We were the first to combine elements of Martial Arts and fitness techniques, which you see all around today. The founder of Fox Fitness is Ian Fox who has over 30 years experience and has been delivering high standard training since 1994. He's been on TV, writes for magazines and has produced numerous best selling workout DVD's.

Fox Fitness has College membership with The Complementary Medical Association (CMA) and all courses are going through the rigorous process of approval for CPD (Continuing Professional Development). Fox Fitness is committed to improving the standards within the complementary and holistic health profession and contributing to Instructors Professional Development in the industry. You can have confidence of exceptionally high quality courses, backed by a very well respected Association.

Fox Fitness has worked closely with and has had accreditation from Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS), OCR (Oxford and Cambridge Examinations) and the Fitness Standards Council (FSC) in the past. However, these organisations can only offer support on fitness courses and do not have the expertise or required knowledge of holistic or complementary programs.

Q: Can I take the course sooner than published?

A: Yes, you can attend our 1-ON-1 or buy the Home Study package on DVD. Just choose the option that best suits your needs from your chosen program.

Q: How do I gain certification?

A:  You must complete the assessment process required to gain certification so you can also obtain the necessary insurance to teach. This relates to all courses regardless of the learning format you choose. There are 2 components that must be submitted to us without fail: 1. Practical and 2. Written.

  1. Practical. The practical assessment is included in any live training, either group, 1-ON-1 or In-House. With the Home Study option we've made it super easy for you to complete the Practical Assessment through our 'Remote Assessment' process, which is done by filming yourself teaching the assessment portion and sending it to us on disc. This is fully explained in the Home Study pack you will receive.
  2. Written. The written component is required to be returned in your own time after the live training either by post or email. With the Home Study option it can either be emailed or sent as a typed word document and included with your filmed disc. The Assessment and Certification cost is included in the price of the live training.  For Home Study it is just £24.99 (if not choosing the 'Best Option') which includes both practical and written assessment marking and certification for the Home Study option but can only take place when both assessment components and payment have been received.

Please Note: All assessments must be received within 3 months of attending live training / ordering the Home Study training or enrolment will become void. This is considered a reasonable amount of time to allow you to learn, practice and complete the assessment relating to the course option you chose.

Taking any longer than this reasonable amount of time, without prior reason why and appropriate communication with Fox Fitness, will null and void any training taken in any format. It is illegal to teach without appropriate certification and insurance. Fox Fitness does not accept any responsibility for the late submission of assessments or the actions of any individual.

Q: I live in another country; can I still take one of your courses?

A: Absolutely, our courses are internationally recognised and with the Home Study package option you can be anywhere in the world and still take the Fox Fitness course of your choice. We do strongly advise for you to find out about the laws and requirements of teaching the course pertaining to your country or the country that you are currently living in prior to enrolling. There may be certain criteria you are required to meet prior to teaching.
