General Questions.

Q: Do you supply music with the courses?

A: We can recommend the best choices for the courses that predominantly use music or you can play your own (subject to PPL if applicable).

Q: Payment Methods?

A: Payment can be taken by Paypal (secure on-line payment system), or by credit/debit card or by Bank Transfer (BACs). If paying by card over the phone, please call us on 01243 601236 (office hours) or email us and we’ll call you back asap. Sorry, we no longer accept cheques.

Q: Can You Provide Insurance?

A: Yes, we can.

Q: What is the qualification process for home study courses?

A: Assessment Process. This is clearly explained on each of our courses after purchase. We access you through our Remote Assessment System and consists of 2 components:

1) Practical:
You are required to teach one other person or a small group the assessment routine that is provided with the course. We assess you based on a certain criteria (you’ll receive a copy of the assessment form with your program so you know what we’re looking for), such as safety, good execution and overall ability to demonstrate your understanding and knowledge of the program. The benefits to you mean you don’t have to spend time or money away from your schedule to attend any assessment day, etc. We want to make it as easy and straightforward for you to become certificated.

2) Written:
Write out a session plan, specific to the course you are doing (this will fully explained). This must be in your own words of how you would personally plan, including coaching and safety points based on teaching a 1 hour class once a week covering such things as your teaching notes, adaptations and anything else to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the program.

Everything is covered in the program including filming guidelines and what we’re looking for. You can submit your filmed assessment on DVD disc, load it up to Filemail.com or on YouTube (private). Your written assessment can be emailed in a word.doc.

The assessment has a fee (please see the specific course page for details) which includes full assessor notes and guidance on both your practical and written and your digital certificate. This MUST be paid at the same time as purchasing the course. Assessments must be completed within 3 months of purchasing the course (when paid in advance) to avoid course access being revoked. You have 1 month to complete your assessment when the fee has not been paid in advance.

Q: Is the course recognised by fitness associations?

A: YES!  Fox Fitness has been delivering training since 1994 and have trained over 7,000 instructors worldwide. Ian Fox has appeared at all the main conventions, in virtually all the instructor and national fitness and Martial Arts magazines and on TV many times. He’s appeared on the cover of YOGA Magazine, MAI and Combat. Fox Fitness is a recognised training provider and recognised as a college by the CMA (Complementary Medical Association) and on the official register of learning providers.

Q: Am I free to do my own thing once I’ve passed the course?

A: Yes, once you pass the course you are free to do your own thing within reason, apart from teaching badly! You are prohibited from selling the content to other people (other than teaching your clients/customers), or create instructor training courses.

Q: How long do I have access to the course?

A: You will have access to the online course for 12 months from the time you purchase. Once the 12 months membership has passed you will be offered another 12 months access for a reasonable fee. If for any reason you are unable to complete the course in the time allocated we are unable to extend the access period under any circumstances.
